Our Diocese Connects

There can be little doubt that we live in a world that is interconnected, intra-dependent and interrelated. As Christians, we hold to the biblical imperatives to love our neighbour and that all people are created and adored by God.

Our baptismal vows bring us into the neighbourhood of other Christians and call us to go where Jesus goes. As Anglicans, we have a particular history of reaching out to God’s people as part of God’s mission through God’s Church to God’s world.

Interactive Google Map

In this Google Map you will see where many parishes in the Diocese of Toronto are seeking to fulfill the mandate of the Gospel imperative in Mathew 25, connecting and engaging in partnerships around the world. Explore our connections by zooming into specific areas of the map and clicking on the pushpins for details about specific projects and links.

If you want to know more, please download our second outreach survey, Our Diocese Connects: Survey of Global Relationships of Churches Within the Diocese of Toronto (PDF), based on data submitted by 107 of our parishes in September 2014. The results of the survey reveal a staggering number of “connections” and the commitment, bedrock for Anglicans, to seek to make a difference in God’s world. Of particular note are the connections to our First Nations brothers and sisters, joining in their journey.
