    Choral Evensong at 4 p.m., with the Choir of St. Peter’s, Erindale. It will be followed by our annual Peach Tea, which includes an illustrated talk by their director, Clement Carelse, on the Music of the Reformation.

    This is the first of our special events marking the dramatic influence of the Reformation, which began 500 years ago on 31st October 1517, when Martin Luther nailed his 95 Theses to a church door in Wittenberg, Germany, thereby starting the Reformation. It had a profound effect on the music of the Christian Church.

    The Church of St Mary Magdalene is one of only a few Anglican parishes to celebrate, on a regular basis, the unique liturgy called Benediction of the Blessèd Sacrament, in conjunction with the classic Anglican service of prayer known as Evensong.
