Dear Friends in Christ:

Jesus said, “I came that they may have life, and have it abundantly” (John 10:10). Because we are beloved children of a loving God, we have been blessed with abundance. Jesus invites each of us to enter the kingdom of God where every stranger is welcomed, the hungry are fed, the sick and lonely are comforted.

God requires each of us “to do justice and love kindness” (Micah 6:8). In sharing the gifts that God has freely bestowed with others who are less fortunate, we become the means by which God brings about God’s kingdom on earth.

I pray that you will join with me and thousands of others throughout our Diocese in supporting our 2010 FaithWorks Campaign. Our financial goal is $1.55 million. The money raised ensures that our FaithWorks Community Ministries and Partners have the resources they need to reach out to some of our most vulnerable sisters and brothers.
