Each year, shortly after vestry season, the Diocese holds Parish Leadership 101 Conferences in each of the four Episcopal areas. If you are a leader in your parish or thinking about becoming one, you are strongly encouraged to attend a workshop.
Generally, topics include: Risk Management, Real Property Management (Licenses/Leases, Inspections, Rectories, “Surplus”), Parish Finances (Legal Status, CRA, Responsibilities, and Trust Funds), and Human Resources (Screening, Contractors vs. Employees, Hiring & Firing).
The next series of workshops will be held in early 2013.
