Mission Possible, a five-week Bible study, is a great way to start a conversation about what it means to be shaped for mission within your parish. Mission Possible can be used at any time of the year, but can be used to good effect in Advent and Lent. You will find a Leaders’ Guide as well PowerPoint slides that you can use and adapt as you see fit. Use Mission Possible start the conversation in your parish or with your leadership about who God is and the mission that God calls us to.
Re-Imagining Church: shaped for mission, a five-week course, is intended to be a source of fresh imagination and energy for your parish – it is an introduction to missional thinking. As parishes transition out of ministry in a Christendom mode of life to that of post-Christendom, the Re-Imagining course is a resource to help you engage your congregation in that conversation. It is intended as an introductory course for those who know that not everything is working in their current parish, but are not sure what it is, how they should think about it or what might be done about it. The main thrust of the course is not so much practical (although there may well be practical results) as imaginative. The purpose of the course is to re-orient our thinking, sow some new ideas and to offer some examples of what can be done.
