Got a question for the nominees in episcopal election?

By Stuart Mann

Got a question for the nominees in the upcoming episcopal election? You’ll have at least two chances to ask it.

First, the diocese is making a video about the nominees that will be posted on the diocese’s YouTube channel on March 15. The purpose of the video is to help Anglicans get to know the nominees better. They’ll be asked a number of questions, which they won’t know in advance.

We want you to provide us with those questions.  If you send your question to info@toronto.anglican.ca by March 4, we will try to include it in the video. Be sure to include your name and the name of the church you belong to.

You’ll also get a chance to ask questions of the nominees beginning on March 15, when the diocese will launch the episcopal election’s Facebook group. That’s where you’ll be able to meet the nominees online, ask them questions and learn about the election.

In addition to the video and the Facebook group, a list of the nominees and their biographical information will be posted on the diocese’s website, www.toronto.anglican.ca, on March 15. Some information, including how to nominate someone for the election, is already posted there.

The election for a new suffragan bishop will take place at St. James Cathedral, Toronto, on April 6, beginning at 9:30 a.m. The new bishop-elect will be consecrated at the cathedral on June 22.
