Our support goes to

FaithWorks

“Truly I tell you, just as you did it to one of the least of these who are members of my family, you did it to me.”– Matthew 25:40

FaithWorks extends hope and support to individuals and families navigating the complexities of life. Anchored in the tenets of compassion and service, FaithWorks is our active response to the call to care for the marginalized.

In partnership with a network of committed organizations and individuals, FaithWorks implements a comprehensive strategy to meet immediate and long-term needs. Through the efforts of our partners, we support:

  • Homelessness & rehabilitation: From All Saints Church-Community Centre in Toronto to the Lighthouse in Orillia, our partners provide critical services that not only address immediate needs but also pave the way for long-term recovery and reintegration.
  • Support for newcomers & refugees: Entities like the Anglican United Refugee Alliance (AURA) and Flemingdon Park Ministry offer vital resettlement support, helping to ease the transition into a hopeful new beginning in Canada.
  • Empowering women, children and youth: With partners such as Couchiching Jubilee House and The Dam, we’re breaking cycles of abuse and poverty, offering safe havens and a chance for a brighter future.
  • Aid for Indigenous communities & HIV/AIDS-impacted individuals: Our efforts extend to fostering better futures for Indigenous peoples and supporting those affected by HIV/AIDS through partnerships with organizations like Toronto Urban Native Ministry and the Philip Aziz Centre.

“Like good stewards of the manifold grace of God, serve one another with whatever gift each of you has received.” – 1 Peter 4:10

FaithWorks is more than an initiative; it is the manifestation of our faith in action, addressing the immediate and systemic challenges faced by the most vulnerable among us.

“When I first got here, I had nothing. Now I’ve got a lot more than that, and a lot of it because of the church, and the people.” – Dan, All Saints Church-Community Centre

Join us in the mission of FaithWorks. Together, we can take action to make sure every person has the chance to live a life marked by dignity, respect and the love of Christ.

Bridging communities: The power of your support

This month, we spotlight the “Cultural Bridges” project, which has facilitated immersive workshops, language preservation classes and mutual aid partnerships. The impact? A significant leap towards understanding, respect and unity among diverse groups, fostering an environment of shared learning and support. Your contributions have been instrumental in this journey, proving that together we can create meaningful change.

In addition to fostering cultural understanding, the “Cultural Bridges” project has empowered community members to start their own projects, further solidifying the bonds between diverse populations. From community gardens blending traditional Indigenous plants with urban farming techniques to collaborative art installations celebrating shared histories, your support has ignited a wave of grassroots initiatives. These endeavors not only enrich our communities but also serve as a testament to what we can achieve when we come together, inspired by the spirit of generosity and cooperation.
