“One generation shall praise Your works to another, And shall declare Your mighty acts.” Psalm 145:4

What’s New

John Strachan, our visionary first bishop, made bold and courageous decisions that ripple forward hundreds of years. Over a century and a half ago, Bishop Strachan called for an endowment to fund the Bishop’s Office. He presented a vision of what might be possible, but it wasn’t something he could achieve on his own.

The John Strachan Trust is the endowment that helps fund the Office of the Bishop of Toronto. At present, the endowment is $2.5 million away from ensuring the Bishop’s Office is sustainable for generations.

With your financial support, we can act now to leave a legacy for the future Church and support the Bishop’s ministry as a leader, shepherd, teacher and advocate.

Canon Falby served as chancellor of the Diocese of Toronto and prolocutor of General Synod for many years. He also served with great wisdom and courage during the negotiations that led to the Indian Residential Schools Settlement Agreement. This fund has been established through the Diocese of Toronto Foundation for those who wish to remember Canon Falby and honour the work of reconciliation with our aboriginal brothers and sisters and our church.

IN THE LAST 5 YEARS, NEARLY $1,400,000 HAS BEEN DISTRIBUTED.

Generous Anglicans, such as you, have given to these ministries over the years. Our collective generosity has truly been a response to the call to live out God’s mission here at home and around the world.

“Christ has no body now but yours,
no hands, no feet on earth but yours.
Yours are the eyes through which
he looks Compassion on this world.
Yours are the feet with which
he walks to do good.
Yours are the hands, with which
he blesses all the world.”
