Rev. Dawn Leger is the Youth Animator for York-Simcoe.
Hi there!
My name is Dawn and I work with Bishop George Elliott to build opportunities in youth ministry for the York-Simcoe area.
I’ve been holding this position since November 2010. It is a new experience for us, so the position is growing as I grow and learn more about our area.
I have two goals for this job: First, to hold events for our youth, especially those in our rural areas, to get together, build community and explore how God is working in their lives. Second, to support youth ministry at the parish level in all its forms, whether you have youth ministry staff or a lady named Freda who makes cookies for the kids on Sunday morning (True story. Freda was the best youth leader ever.). If you are looking to hire staff, or simply asking, “Where are all the young people”, I want to hear from you.
