Bishop’s PreLenten Study Series on The Apostles’ Creed

Wednesdays, February 26, March 4 & March 11, 7:30-9:00pm at St Elizabeth, Mississauga

Bishop Jenny invites you to a three-part teaching series on the Apostles’ Creed. Each evening will include time for small-group discussions and larger group interactions. Light refreshments will be provided. 

On Ash Wednesday (Feb 26), participants are invited to the Ash Wednesday service at 7:00pm, prior to the first session.

Diocesan Black History Service of Celebration

February 23, 2020, 4:30pm at St. Paul Bloor Street

Theme: We’ve Come This Far by Faith!

The Black Anglicans Coordinating Committee will be hosting the 25th annual service of celebration of the Black Heritage of Our Church in the Anglican Diocese of Toronto. The preacher will be The Rev. Canon Stephen Fields, Incumbent of Holy Trinity Thornhill, and the Founding Chair of the Black Anglicans Coordinating Committee. Celebration music begins at 4:00pm. All clergy are invited to attend and robe for the service.  Please join us in this celebration of thanksgiving and prayer for the life, work and witness of the Black Anglican community for the past 25 years and into the future. York-Credit Valley One-Day Winter Retreat 2020

Saturday, March 7, 2020 from 9:00 AM to 4:00 PM at St Joseph of Nazareth

Get together with youth from the York-Credit Valley area to have some winter fun and worship together. There will be games, snow tubing with Bishop Jenny, food and time spent exploring our identity in Christ.

Celebrations & Ordinations

There will be a Services of Ordination for

  • The Rev. Michelle Jones, Assistant Curate, at Christ Church, Brampton on March 1, 2020 at 4:00pm.

Show your support of newly appointed and newly priested clergy by attending and robing.  Deanery clergy are expected to attend. Please let the Bishop’s Office know if you will be absent.


Applications for YCV Area Council Grants

Applications are due on April 1, 2020. Grants are awarded in two categories:

  • FaithWorks Grants to assist parish and community outreach projects.
  • Ministry Development Grants for new ministry programs related to one of the two focus areas identified for YCV, namely, Evangelism and Children & Youth Ministry.

While there is no longer a “Parish Partnership” granting envelope, applications for projects being carried out in collaboration with another parish or organization are still welcome, assuming they fall into one of the above categories.
