Easter is a celebration of Jesus Christ’s resurrection from the dead more than 2,000 years ago, and what that means for us today. On the third day after his death on the cross, Jesus rose from the grave. His followers arrived expecting to find his body, but instead found an empty tomb!
As Christians, we believe that through Jesus’ death and resurrection, our sins are forgiven, death is defeated and we are given eternal life. We gather at Easter to hear this wonderful, astounding story and to celebrate God’s love for each of us, as well as the power of God’s ongoing work of healing in our world.
There are more than 200 Anglican church communities of all shapes and sizes in the Greater Toronto Area and beyond, in-person and online. Celebrate Easter with us this year!
