In observation of Orange Shirt Day, the Rev. Stephen Drakeford (Stephen+) will have a conversation with Nancy Hurn, on her work at the National Church Archives and Dorthy Peers, on what affect the apology by her late husband, Archbishop Michael, had on his ministry and her. This 45-minute interview will focus on the Anglican response to colonization. What has it done to people and the world? How do we find a place of reconciliation. Stephen’s+ and the Equity Action Group’s intention is to avoid tokenism and cultural appropriation in this by focussing on how we as Anglicans have become aware and changed. Our event is on Wed 30 Sept @ 7pm to 8:30pm at SJYM. We also will have refreshments from Indigenous Caterer, Tea n Bannock.
