Communications informs, equips and inspires our bishops, clergy and lay leaders as they build communities of hope and compassion. We do this primarily through the Diocese’s website, social media and The Anglican. We also help parishes with their communications needs.

Social media tip sheets
Looking to get your church started on social media, or ready to go deeper? Reach out for a conversation! You can also check out the social media tip sheets on the Online Mission & Ministry page. Get the basics on Facebook and Instagram, see examples of what kinds of posts work best, and download a social media policy template to consider who’s authorized to post on behalf of your parish.
Parish website guide
Need some help improving your church’s website? We can help you figure out what platform might suit your context, think about your website’s goals, and enhance your content to reach your target audience. Download the Parish Website Guide for practical, beginner-friendly information on planning, building and maintaining a church website. It covers the essentials – platforms, hosting, domains, content and security – at a high level so you know what to prioritize. You can also check out the Writing for the Web tip sheet to help make your website easier to read.
Canva for Nonprofits
All nonprofit organizations, including churches, are eligible to sign up for Canva for Nonprofits, which grants free access to the premium features of Canva Pro. Canva is a widely used online graphic design program that helps users create a broad range of visual content, from social media graphics to posters, documents and videos. First, create a free Canva account if you don’t have one, then go to the Canva for Nonprofits signup page and fill out the form with your parish’s details. You’ll need to submit proof of your nonprofit status.
